full-length play

2M, 1F + 1NB

In the crumbling plantation house bequeathed to them by their white adoptive mother, middle-aged siblings George and Tommy bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. While both adopted brothers stayed home to care for their ailing mother in her final years, their older sister Tammy was off gallivanting the globe as a famous sexual wellness guru. After their mother’s death, Tammy resurfaces to stake a claim in the never-for-sale family home, accompanied by her twenty-something lover Pam. As the three siblings reunite under the same leaking roof, they grapple with tangled emotions, lapsed desires, and the complicated memory of their mother.

“George and Tammy and Pam and Tommy” is in development with the support of The Fire This Time Festival New Works Lab.
